I have taken more money on a job with the understanding that I am
staying *until* my replacement arrives at a previous job. I was
fortunate in that case...my new employer was willing to wait a few
extra weeks for me to arrive. But I would never offer that again.

I this case, however, the entire upper management (including President
and CEO) would have to fire themselves for it to make a difference.
And then I'd still leave.

There is no Stopping me...heheh.

I know you were kidding, but I'd like to ask a related question.

Has anyone ever handed in a resignation, then be given a better offer to
stay, and not found out that it was just a stall until a replacement could
be found and you were shown the door?
