In answer to:

Should we fix or ignore obvious errors in subject lines?

I typically edit them on replies and forwards, but not sure if I should.

Peter Sturgeon

My response:

I typically do not. I have learned to let things go.

Whenever I did it in the past, I have found that people (at other
companies) don't appreciate such editing. People subject to such
editing in the past personally considered my editing meddlesome and me
persnickety. They would thank me, but in such a way that I knew they
were telling me to stuff it.

I do what I am asked. I will volunteer to edit or proof things
sometimes, but judging from how frequently I get a "No Thanks" in
return, people are fearful of being edited. They equate it with being
judged. They don't like it and avoid it.
