The real problem with SHIFT-ENTER is that it causes trouble later when
some other user tries to figure out why you can't have what appear to be
two successive paragraphs in different styles.

In my experience it causes more trouble than it's worth. Word has lots
of ways to corrupt itself outside paragraph marks, and there are methods
of adjusting paragraph spacing that are far superior to using double
paragraph marks.
