Sheila asked:

"And please pardon me (I am new to this techwr-l world), but what does
HTH mean?"

Sheila,

Someone else addressed this individual abbreviation, but you may also
be interested in some of the other ones. Originally, these
abbreviations were mostly seen in Usenet news groups--which were the
original Internet groups. Now, of course, they are used with many
"emoticons" in texting or instant messaging.

Here are some links for you. First, the "Canonical
Abbreviation/Acronym List":

A somewhat shorter list but with a few emoticons:

A very short abbreviations list with a *lot* of emoticons:

Between them, you should be well equipped to deal with all these!

HTH, TTFN ;-)

David LOL!
