I find marketing people like to use "simply" in their writing to
emphazized how easy a task is. I imagine that some people might think
"yeah, it's simple for you, pal". So whenever I see "simply" used, I
simply delete it.

I always cut "simply" and "just" in similar contexts. They add nothing.
"Just" is often a marker for "this is easy to say but time-consuming to
do" and for that reason alone is best left out.

Whenever someone starts a request with "Can't you just ...." I know I'm
in for a lot of effort.
