Can't answer that one for sure, Ned. I'm impressed you built your own.
All I can say is that WDS has proven very effective for me. At the
moment, it's got more than 208,000 items indexed, and I get answers
within seconds or even fractions of a second.

I wonder what this is about. I built an indexer once, and it could open,
read, and index any file on disk. It could index the text in an
otherwise binary file (a visio diagram, a spreadsheet, a word doc, etc).

So if my homemade indexer could do that, and it was just stock VB that
I used to do it, I wonder what's with WDS in this regard?
