Subject:Baggage File Bug in RoboHelp HTML 6 From:"Jonny Benjamin" <jonnyben -at- gmail -dot- com> To:TECHWR-L <TECHWR-L -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Wed, 8 Aug 2007 16:41:56 +0300
Hi List,
I just wanted to share an experience with RoboHelp HTML 6. I have spent the
most part of my work day trying to find out why a certain file would not
open after compiling my project even though I hyperlinked to it in my
project. After much head banging and lateral thinking I noticed that the
file in question, a pps file, was not being added to my list of baggage
files and therefore would not display on being compiled. Trying to add the
file manually via "Baggage/New Baggage File..." didn't work either and I was
at wits end as to what to do. A simple Google search finally solved my
problem: It turns out that the failure to sometimes add baggage files is a
well-known bug in RoboHelp HTML 6. After editing the rhbag.apj file I was
finally able to fix the problem by duplicating an existing baggage file
record and entering the new filename.
Hope this saves some lister the heartache I went through
