Just one question. What in the world do you mean by "maggie"?

"Maggie" refers to a list member who figured out that Word keeps all of
its formatting information in the last paragraph mark of a section or
document. Copy everything but this paragraph mark from an unstable
document to a new document, and it often fixes itself!

(You should have checked our archives, not wikipedia. :)
