Seriously!
But on the job, the most important bit of advice I can give to those
starting a "leadership position" is to be genuine. And to read
Lencioni's books, particularly The 5 Dysfunctions of a Team.
I used quotations around "leadership position" because I assert that
no such position has ever existed in the history of life, the
universe, and everything. A position does not a leader make. And this
is coming from a guy with "leader" in his job title! Even a President
and CEO can fail at being a leader. The leader is the person. The
position is merely a means of defining their pay scale at that point
in time.
