The double "L" spelling is most often used when referring to theories,
concepts, principles etc - basically anything in the abstract. As with
many scientific terms, exceptions abound.
Ex: The rate of deceleration for the Space Station will be determined by
geosynchronous modelling.
The single "L" is used when referring to anything (or anyone) that is
used as a representation or a display.
Ex: Biff used both physical and computer 3D modeling to show Muffy
how doughnuts, are ruining her modeling career.
Those who disagree may pounce.......(wait for
it)................(wa-a-ait for it)............NOW!!

Subject: Modelling or Modeling?
Any O&G folks out there? I need help with modelling. Some here use one
'l' and some use two. The dictionary I use has both as correct. Anyone
decided on a standard?
(It's modeling as in reservoir modeling or thermal modelling.)
