For Windows-based applications, I refer to windows - the Open window. I used to differentiate between windows & dialog boxes but I don't think this is meaningful to most of our users.

For web-based applications, I refer to the web pages as pages - the Open page.

Hi All,

What is the best term to use?

The Open *dialog box* is displayed?

The Open w*indow* is displayed?

The Open s*creen* is displayed?

Are there any usage rules for these terms?
