the update for FrameMaker 8 is in progress.

You might also poke around

Some of the titles are dated, but the more recent ones may either offer
most of the fundamentals, publishers to watch for updated versions, or
both.

You might also look into some of the training resources at
http://www.adobe.com/products/framemaker/training.html.
