I usually tell people around here that if they have any
numbering problems in Word to just type in the numbers
they want manually and I'll fix it during my final edit.
I've yet to encounter a non-writer who insists on trying
to fight with Word numbering problems after I tell them
that. In my experience, only writers are that stubborn
and masochistic.
