The key point is that Acrobat 8 doesn't use PDFMaker.dot. the PDFMaker
functinality is by means of a COM add-in. So do an install, and then
make sure that PDFMaker.dot is no longer loaded, and then close Word,
rename normal.dot and restart Word, knowing that old changes to it
made by Acrobat 6 are no longer present.
