Kaye:
Just to chime in, I've done a lot of Federal grant application
preparation for academic clients, and there is a third document that
is often used in grant applications, much to the frustration of
faculty. This is the two-page "biographical sketch." Similar to a
resume, it includes basic education and employment history while also
including experience specific to the areas of interest in the grant
application.
As a consultant, I've had to edit a lot of CVs down to a bio sketch,
while I've rarely had either a bio sketch or a two-page resume
presented to me for use in an application.
