Subject:Turning Cross-References Blue in Word From:"Chesler, Lynn" <lchesler -at- auspicecorp -dot- com> To:<techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Thu, 3 Jan 2008 11:53:41 -0500 (EST)
Hi All:
Is there a way to automatically associate a character style with
cross-references in Word?
When I create a hyperlinked cross-reference, I want it blue and underlined
so that readers know it's a link in the resulting PDF file. I have been
formatting the cross-references manually but find that the procedure is
laborious and the cross-references lose their formatting when I make a
change to the referenced text and then update the field. (Isn't
MERGEFORMAT supposed to preserve the formatting when you update a field?)
Thank you for any help you can give me!!
Lynn
