Hi Mary,
I'm in Green Belt training and although the project is focused on my
team's work, it isn't a tech writing green belt. It's certification in
a process.
If there is something in your area that you can measure and improve,
then you can apply the Six Sigma method to it and, possibly, get
certified.
My GB training required a whole new set of brain functions to learn
the statistics required to measure and report in the company's version
of Six Sigma. I'm actually working on a project that involves the
production aspects of our documentation process.
