I use ebay for parts for my 2002 Dell laptop. I got a POS AC adapter,
but the keyboard, floppy disk drive, and hard drive that I've replaced
all work well. Now the screen is failing. (It's been good, but not the
most rugged device on the planet.)

Cheers,

Sean

I've always had good luck replacing hard drives in my Dell laptop with
cheaper, bigger, faster versions. Maybe that's one part that is
standardized.

I figure with laptops that parts aren't going to be universal in
general.
