Late for the Friday files, but what the heck... it's a long weekend
for most techwhirlers!

Tip of the hat to Uncle Jay (http://www.unclejayexplains.com/, May
26th installment) for a humorous take on a subject near and dear to
the hearts of writers: using just the right word. Why use the $10
word when the $1 word works just fine?

A note to the Dilbertian wage slave: not all the scenes are work-
friendly. (Yes, in a perfect world, employers would have a sense of
humor and this disclaimer would seem unnecessary. In reality...)
