For conditional text, character styles are my favorite method, but there
are other methods that work well. However, there is *no* conditional
text method in Word that's appropriate for "not as skilled users."

Master Documents are usually avoided, even by Word experts. RD fields
are easier and more stable. But this gets back to the previous problem:
Even RD fields aren't appropriate for "not as skilled users."
