Hi Holly,

What I used to do was make a PDF of each chapter, and then combine
them... All manually..

The solution to page numbering, chapter number and page number of
chapter:

1-1, 1-2, 1-3
Chapter 2: 2-1, 2-3, etc.

It is cumbersome but I worked that way for years.

Tech-Tav templates helped tremendously to that end.

I used RD fields for the TOC. It is a really useful tool. The problem is
that even if you generate a TOC with all the chapter documents and the
main
user manual, you still need a way to put the whole thing together to
send
the manual out for review, create a PDF for clients etc.

Any suggestions on how I could do that?
