Hi,

Assuming this printer is not a network-ready printer, I'd install the
printer as a local printer on one of your networked PCs by connecting
the printer to the computer using the USB cable and running the driver
installation.

Then, I'd set the computer up to share the printer with all other
computers on the network.

Thus, print jobs come in to the printer using the computer to which the
printer is attached. Of course, that means the computer to which the
printer is attached must be turned on for the printer to be available.

Cheers,

Sean

I am trying to network a Canon Pixma MP610 with two computers. The
printer connects via USB port.

Would I use a USB switch or hub for this? Or something else? I have
managed to confuse myself.

Where would you all recommend picking one up? Staples seems expensive.
Amazon looks friendlier in price.
