Try to show your and his versions to neutral persons (without saying who wrote what) and ask them which version is clearer. If his version is clearer, be grateful. Otherwise, you have the right to be angry and insulted, but don't. He is not worth it.

SMEs who do other people's job are usually told off by their superiors for not doing their own job, the one they are being paid for.
