That's why I answered the way I did. The study didn't shed any light on
that, did it? As far as I can tell, they compared an ornamental font to
Arial. They might well have used only Symbol (well, except in Greece
<g>).

No...the rhetorical principles of font selection in general--why sans 
serif is better for one purpose and serif for another...that sort of 
thing.
