What you are looking for Nancy is commonly referred to as a webinar (though
more appropriately a synchronous meeting). We use WebEx for meetings,
events and training and have all but eliminated the need to travel for our
unit. And yes it allows you to share your desktop (or just a specific
application) with a multitiude of users (my current license allows for up
to 200 participants per session).

WebEx, BTW is the tool that I use and am very excited about. I'm in WebEx
(mostly trainging center, love it), SnagIt 9 (love it), PPT, Word and IE7
(meh) almost all day, everyday.

Cheers!
-Greg
