Hi Ron,

I've got a presentation about effective presentations (grin).

It is free to anyone who wants to use it:
http://www.tech-challenged.com/powerpoint.html

I hope this is helpful, at least for the speaking and giving
presentation part...

I remember years ago I took a course in public speaking in college, so
there are books out there.

Some books that I found particularly helpful for communication are:

The Psychology of Writing, R.T. Kellogg (1994)

Research Strategies in Technical Communication, Porter & Coggin (1995)

Dynamics in Document Design, K.S. Schriver (1997) - but she may have a
newer edition out now

How we write: Writing as creative design, M. Sharples (1999)

I hope these are helpful for a starter.

Deborah
