I am sure I am not the only person who standardly
keeps more than one page open every day and therefore
might want to set their "Home" default on opening to
their standard set of tabbed pages. The method you
describe is a reasonable way to allow people to do
that. If you only want one page set as a Home page,
you can easily just open one page and set that.
