I'm a long-time FrameMaker user, about to start a new job with a company that uses Macs exclusively. I'm very glad that I'll be using a Mac, but would rather not give up FrameMaker. I will be bootstrapping tech pubs at this company, so I can choose whatever tools I want. Also, I would like to use Madcap, which I have not used before, but had been planning to use it at my current company.

Neither FrameMaker nor Madcap is available for OS X.

* Does anyone have any experience using FrameMaker on the Mac under either VMWare or Parallels Desktop?

* Can anyone suggest a set of publishing solutions that are as powerful as Frame/Frame+Madcap/Frame+Robo, but that runs natively on a Mac?

* Any other advice?

Much obliged,
-Dave Dorbin, Manager-Elect
