Hi, Brian
The periodical must be read or downloaded from its website, so they can
easily know if I've accessed it or not.
It looks like Connie's situation is the same as mine- she's notified
when it's available, then nagged until she collects it.

The whole issue of (email) read receipts is another thing.
Tbird is configured to ask me before sending. I only sometimes will let
it send a receipt.

Of course, other clients have different levels of control in these areas.
