I've worked with enough mediocre writers to agree, but we all know
from past discussions that we can't agree on what a certificate would
entail since technical writing is such a broad field.

And I do have a certificate from my tech writing program, which I get
to list on my resume. And locally the program has a good reputation
and enough active alumni that it bears some weight and might even get
my foot in the door some places.

Who is also probably certifiable most days...
