I've used Dreamhost for at least six years now and have had no problems. I
host three sites with them for $119 per year with over 400 GB of space per
site. However, I have my domains registered with Network Solutions for $35
per year each.

I'm happy enough not to search for anyone else.

Traci,

I highly recommend you do some comparison shopping. I have heard nothing
but bad things about godaddy, while others have heard good things. Look for
a company that has great uptime stats, good tech support, and good low cost
options. Try findmyhosting.com for starters, and check with cdnet and other
big IT sites for buyers' guides, etc.

For what it's worth, I use ICDSoft... the BEST tech support I have ever had
(usually less than 20 minutes to reply to a ticket), very low cost,
easy-to-use dashboard control, excellent uptime stats. I've hosted my own
site with them for more than 6 years, and I manage five other sites hosted
with them (you get a discount the more sites you host). Works out to less
than $7 a month for a site.

Good luck

Connie Giordano

I've decided to go with GoDaddy to host my
domain. I've have a couple associates use them
and say good things about their prices, products, and support.

I called GoDaddy yesterday and talked to Justin,
who was both incredibly personable and helpful.
But WhoIs.com, with whom I originally registered
my domain name, wouldn't let us log in to
transfer the domain name. I definitely have the
original username, e-mail address, and password I
used when I first registered my domain name, but
we couldn't get in. And WhoIs.com doesn't have any phone support.

So, I've sent them an e-mail and will have to
wait for them to help me get logged in.
