I currently use Skype for my long distance. On an article about legal issues
with the code Skype is based on, someone suggested Ekiga

http://www.ekiga.org/

an open source VOIP solution formerly known as GnomeMeeting.

I'm sure it isn't quite as developed as Skype as it's non-commercial, but
thought it worth checking out.

Supposed to have Windows versions as well as Unix/Linux, etc.

Thanks for any info

Kathleen
