Flash gurus?

I have some simple edits to make to a FLV file, but have no Flash editor (or
know-how) at the moment. I could download the trial Flash package from
Adobe, or work with a freebie. What do you recommend?

And how to *quickly* get up to speed? Would *Classroom In A Book* be
overkill in this situation?
