Anyone know much about pay rates in northern Virginia? I got a message from a recruiter about a job in the town of Sterling, and the pay rate given was 50k. How does that sound? From what little I've heard in the past, I have to wonder if it's above the poverty line for that area.

Can anyone point out a good web site for looking up information about comparative pay rates in different areas? I've looked at COL calculators online and I get conflicting results. I'm not an STC member so I don't think I can use their resources. And yes, I have already searched the list archives and could not find anything useful to me.
