You're probably thinking of LingoSystems.

They publish a free "Guide to Translation and Localization." IYou
can request a copy here ->

To the original poster - I've never heard about font preferences for
translation. Are you asking if there is a particular font that makes
machine translation easier? Or about font preferences by users in
various countries?

Either way, I agree with Richard. I'd let my localization vendor advise me.
