Simple answer: no. You cannot switch from the Ribbon interface to the old menu structure.
What I've found more helpful is to put the commands I use most frequently in the "Quick Access Toolbar". For example, Save, Open, Insert Hyperlink, Insert Row, Delete Row... basically anything you use a lot, add it to that QAT and you're going to be more productive, even more so than going to the Add-Ins tab.
Is there any setting that allows you to switch to the menu structure from previous versions?
