Quick guess: Create a bookmark in the Word doc and hyperlink to that.

Subject: (MS) Linking from a point in an XLS file to a spot in a Word
doc?

Hi folks,

A client has a big spreadsheet with macros in it. One of our business
people wants to make it so that when you click on some spot in the
spreadsheet, you are taken to a specific spot in a Word doc. If this
were all in Word, he would have it all in one file and use
"cross-references".

I told him I wasn't sure if ti could be done, but that I would take a
look. So far, I have found that I can link to a whole doc and get it to
open, but not a specific spot in that doc. I tried embedding the XLS and
then going into it to make a link and found no way to link to the Word
doc in which it was embedded.

Anyone have a solution to this?

Thanks,

Bob
