Whirlers:

Do you think that if we complain enough about the Adobe Akamai Download
Manager enough, we'd get results?

I had to fix my boss's computer this week, after ADM essentially
disabled Internet Explorer. All he wanted to do was update Flash player.
Luckily for him, he complained in my earshot, and since I have a lot of
experience extracting my computer from the jaws of ADM, I was able to
fix it. Even then, we never got the update to install. He walked away
grumbling about never purchasing another Adobe product again.

Has ANYONE had a positive experience with it? I can't download a single
thing from them anymore. It is beyond frustrating. The thing prompts the
user with questions that make no sense. Answering incorrectly will shut
down one's I.E. connection (luckily, it leaves Firefox alone), and even
when I've managed to navigate that properly, I've never actually gotten
the download itself to commence.

It actually appears to change settings in IE! What are they thinking?

Does anyone have the key to making it work?

Anyone at Adobe listening? Helloo-oo-oo-oo?

I wonder if Akamai Download Manager is connected to
Archer-Daniels-Midland. Hmmmm. /kidding

Sincerely,
Madelyn Boudreaux
