Hi, all. I am using Replace Text to make global edits to .mif files (which I exported from FrameMaker).

Now I have a directory full of .mif files, all of which I need to rename to .fm. I can do it manually in the directory, or I can open them in Framemaker and save as .fm files . . . but those are slow processes and I want to do it fast.

I've found a freeware tool called Extension Renamer (http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/how-to-change-file-extension/) and I may very well use it.

However, I'm slightly reluctant to load up my work computer with freeware from God knows where, and wonder if anyone uses anything else or has any other tips.

Suggestions?
