Bullets and numbers living together?

I had a coworker stop by my office to ask me a Word question. While I
know how to make FrameMaker do this trick, I'm not by any means a Word
guru. I tried one or two things, but failed. Rather than fiddle
with Word too long and lose track of time, I thought I'd ask the list
brain trust if there is an easy way to do this? She wants to create a
checklist style in Word (we're using 2003) where there is a square
bullet for each numbered item in the list.

Essentially she wants her list format to be able to do something like this.

[_] 1. First item in checklist.
[_] 2. Second item in checklist
[_] 3. Third item in checklist.

Anyone out there know a quick and easy way to make check boxes and
numbers appear together in a style?
