Fonts on the web are picking up momentum. Browsers that support CSS3
(Firefox, Chrome, Safari) can use the @font-face style to embed fonts into
web pages. Internet Explorer can also support @font-face, but requires that
you convert fonts to an EOT file format.

Web sites are cropping up, like www.typekit.com, that make font embedding
easier. Google has also announced an API to embed fonts:
http://code.google.com/apis/webfonts/
