I think hatred of a font is an obsessive personality disorder :) Besides, wasn't it Comic Sans who saved the day? (

Franklin Gothic Book works pretty well as body text for large documents if you prefer sans serif.

I've been a fan of Adobe's Myriad Pro for a long time. Adobe now sets their
manuals in Minion and Myriad Pro, which I think is a gorgeous combination.

For the record, I think Times New Roman and Comic Sans should be banned from
all computers.
