For my first job out of school I would choose the opportunity with the
longest expected duration. Once you have established yourself in the role
initially defined, you can work on opportunities to take on other
responsibilities as you accumulate experience. And in the current economic
climate, there's a lot to be said for not spending your savings if you can
avoid it. "Scrimping and saving" is better than depleting.
