Couldn't you just use headers/footers and reference the appendixes in the TOC?

This method does not use any of the really nifty features of Word, but I suppose that it would get the job done for this particular iteration of the report.

Example:

header for main report pages says

'Report on xxx, DATE, etc.##, Page x'

and then the Appendix A header says

'Appendix A: Report from DATE on xxx, etc.##, Page x'

and then the other appendixed reports would be named Appendix B, Appendix C, ... , and these would also be mentioned in the TOC.
