The company I work for has always sent hard-copy manuals with our products
because they are used in the field or in a lab where access to a computer or
the Internet is inconvenient. From what I know of the construction industry,
Internet activity in the office is not 100%. We have many hard copy
purchases each month.

We do offer PDFs on our website, but they are infrequently downloaded
because, from what I can guess, they want the hard copy that is professional
printed and bound, on sturdier paper, smaller (5.5 x 8.5"), and much easier
to carry around.

I do not foresee a transition to electronic only any time soon.
