I can't speak for the Mac, but both those functions work fine in Word
2010. Even better, SHIFT+F5 (and a lot of other Word keyboard shortcuts)
now work in Outlook 2010.

I discovered through this list that in Word 2007, ALT+LEFT ARROW is a
