In my opinion, courier is a terrible choice for code samples--too much
confusion between similar characters (lower case letter l and number
1, capital letter O and zero, for instance).

There are many newer choices that are actually designed for this sort
of thing. Consolas, for example, seems far superior. You should be
able to download it at
