I have many years of old EarthLink email that I'd like to convert so I can quit using EarthLink's email client (which they've quit providing for new operating systems; grrrr).
EarthLink explains how to convert messages to EML format, which can be used by a variety of email clients, and even (with additional conversions) changed into Outlook's PST format. But, the process is manual and painful and doesn't seem to be automat-able, which means it's going to take a million years to convert so many years of (tech writing-related) messages.
I believe that the email is in a Microsoft Access Database, so it seems as if I should somehow be able to extract the messages, along with their attachments.
It's a long shot, but... has anyone done this?
If yes, and you can help, I'd be eternally grateful. And Santa/your-winter-celebration-icon-of-choice will be sure to bring you a token of my appreciation!
