Hi Claire:
I have used IMSI PDF to Word conversion program and it worked really, really
well. I am not sure about converting 1200 pages, but I think you could do it
in batches. I seem to remember that you could set the page range to convert.
The software is not very expensive either. We used it to update procedures
documents that were in PDF without a copy in Word. The documents were in
Information Mapping format, so there were lots of tables. We worked with the
settings until we got some that worked, and did not have a lot of cleanup to
do
