Is there any prescribed way to use slashes at the end of a path?
For example, if I want to tell users to place a file inside the bin directory, which treatment of slashes is preferred:

Save install.exe in <install dir>/bin/
Save install.exe in <install dir>/bin

And if you cannot hear it, you will all of your life spend your days on the ends of strings that somebody else pulls.”--Howard Thurman, American theologist (1900-1981)
